Yara Shahidi

I adore watching the show Black-ish, it’s a great comedy but it also talks about deep rooted issues in todays world. If you have never watched it, I seriously suggest you do.

One of the best parts of the show for me is the daughter, Zoey Johnsons, insane style. She mixes and matches colours and patterns I would LOVE to try. I love waiting to see what she will wear next, each outfit is in itself memorable.

I gain so much inspiration when I watch TV and see what the characters are wearing, because it truly represents who they are in the show. I would dream of having Yara Shahidi’s wardrobe closet but for now, I can show you my FAVE outfits of her from the comedy.

I love how she pairs patterns together, as well as wearing a bold blouse under tops. It’s also crazy because the majority of her outfits don’t come from high fashion houses. Many items she wears are TopShop, Target, Maje. Super affordable and easy to re-invent for yourself!

Yara is an insanely talented girl, who is trying to make a difference in the world for girls and women. If you don’t know who she is from TV, or politics then you NEED to keep an eye out for her on the red carpet. Her stylist Ade Samuel is an incredible talented woman that allows her to still be herself. Her sense of fashion is insane-and she is only 16! Which seems crazy when she is having sit down talks with Michelle Obama about girls education. So inspiring seeing someone accomplish so much at a young age.
