Love Yourself

Sooo, it’s Valentines day…and if you don’t have a s/o you can take care of the most important person, YOU! This year I have decided to treat myself to a mini spa day courtesy of Her Majesty’s Pleasure, and I couldn’t be more excited.

February is such a total blah month, so it’s always good to have a special you day anyway! I have created a list of the best places that you can treat yourself this Valentines day (or make it a Galentines day, with your chicks!)

  1. Hammam Spa: Insane place to relax, with some Turkish baths. Great way to cleanse your body and spirit and let everything go!
  2. 889 Yoga: Need some you time? Be sure to check out this incredible Yoga studio. I highly recommend their Meditation classes- you will leave a new person.
  3. H20 Float Spa: I have yet to try this, but it is on my list! If you have any physical discomfort (back aches etc.) this is perfect for you. The experience looks incredible, and I have only heard good things.
  4. Junked Food Co.: Craving some insane desserts? Spoil yourself here, the food is wacky and will be a great place to chill with the girls. They are officially open this weekend and I can tell you, I’ll be there!
  5. Get Gelled: In need of the perfect pampering place for a mani pedi? This adorable salon is a perfect getaway to freshen up, while enjoying the cute atmosphere.

Hopefully this list was helpful! I know I can’t wait to treat myself this weekend. How do you celebrate a special YOU day? Let me know in the comments below.

Yara Shahidi

I adore watching the show Black-ish, it’s a great comedy but it also talks about deep rooted issues in todays world. If you have never watched it, I seriously suggest you do.

One of the best parts of the show for me is the daughter, Zoey Johnsons, insane style. She mixes and matches colours and patterns I would LOVE to try. I love waiting to see what she will wear next, each outfit is in itself memorable.

I gain so much inspiration when I watch TV and see what the characters are wearing, because it truly represents who they are in the show. I would dream of having Yara Shahidi’s wardrobe closet but for now, I can show you my FAVE outfits of her from the comedy.

I love how she pairs patterns together, as well as wearing a bold blouse under tops. It’s also crazy because the majority of her outfits don’t come from high fashion houses. Many items she wears are TopShop, Target, Maje. Super affordable and easy to re-invent for yourself!

Yara is an insanely talented girl, who is trying to make a difference in the world for girls and women. If you don’t know who she is from TV, or politics then you NEED to keep an eye out for her on the red carpet. Her stylist Ade Samuel is an incredible talented woman that allows her to still be herself. Her sense of fashion is insane-and she is only 16! Which seems crazy when she is having sit down talks with Michelle Obama about girls education. So inspiring seeing someone accomplish so much at a young age.

Dreaming of Spring

Today’s weather in Toronto TOTALLY SUCKS. It’s freezing, raining, slippery (trust almost fell twice) and just so depressing. February is the worst month, it is dark cold and wet. The best way for me to cheer up is to day dream of all the awesome spring/summer styles I am going to wear!

This outfit was a true trend in summer ’16, and was adopted from the 90’s (cause everything good is!) but honestly I am super into it and will definitely be rocking it come spring.

On me: Jacket: Sense of Independence, Dress: Necessary Clothing, Shirt: Fruit of the Loom, Boots: Boohoo

This look is so easy to dress up or down depending on what shoes you wear- in these boots it’s more dressy. For a daytime look I could have paired sandals or ballet flats.

Flirty & Fun

It’s always super hard picking out the ULTIMATE going out outfit, well for me at least. My clothes are scattered across my floor, trying to look fun but also not slutty-honestly it’s a hard task. If you’re like me the outfit controls how your night is going to go, bad outfit and you will not be happy and that means a bad night out. This is one of my favourite outfits because it is so unique, and honestly, super me!

On me: Tank top by Tibi, Pleather pants by Pink Martini, Velvet booties by Boohoo

I love mix and mingling different textures when I am wearing all black, it stops my outfit from being boring and allows me to standout.

My favourite stores to purchase awesome night out clothes is below: The best place to shop for going out tops! Their oversized shirts and sweaters are perfect to pair with tall suede boots. Looking for a unique pair of leggings or pants? You are totally covered. In need of a fancy outfit? They have it all from dresses to skirts to gowns. Obsessed with their shoes, and you know no one else will have the same pair as you!
